Ariella Bodden is an alumni of Clifton Hunter High School (2024) and St. Ignatius Catholic School (2026) in the Cayman Islands. She is working towards Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology, at King’s College London.

In Ariella’s own words….

“I am writing to apply for this scholarship as I prepare to begin my Bachelor of Science (BSc) Psychology program at a university in the United Kingdom. Currently completing my A-levels, I have developed a deep interest in psychology and mental health and I'm eager to expand my knowledge of how cognition, behavior, and emotional well-being are shaped by both biological and environmental factors. This scholarship would allow me to fully engage with academic opportunities, by pursuing research and expanding my experience in the psychology field giving me the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that promote mental health awareness…

In the Cayman Islands, 1 in 6 adolescents struggle with serious suicidal thoughts, yet only a fraction receive help, the need for psychological services becomes impossible to ignore. Studying psychology will give me the foundation to progress my education to a doctoral level with the intentions of specializing in neuropsychology, allowing me to fulfill a personal mission. With clinical expertise, I aspire to return to the Cayman Islands to develop mental health initiatives that see the hidden signs and hear the silent voices.”
